Starting SheSpeaks was all about one big idea: making sure that the voices of women are heard loud and clear in the world of workplace safety. I've got a background in Occupational Health and Safety and Business Management, thanks to my studies at Saskatchewan Polytechnic. As a woman working in a field mostly dominated by men, I've faced some unfair treatment on the job. People have told me that women can't be credible in safety and that our voices don't count for much. But I'm on a mission to change those old-fashioned ideas and break down the barriers that stop women from getting into Business and Occupational Health and Safety.
